Short Story

There was a girl named Natalie who went to school, even though she hated going. On her way to school she saw a sparkle on the side of the road. She looked for it, and found a bag with a bunch of potions with her name on it, saying "Don't use until you see the path". Natalie had no idea what it meant because there wasn't a path anywhere she went.

Natalie carried this bag around for weeks, looking and inspecting the various potions, with their labels. One of them said "Biyinitvilis" and another "Kacb Ot Lyeirat", she figured that they were in code or they meant something.

For a long time, since Natalie has been carrying those potions, things seemed weird. At school, nothing was normal and things have been going her way and everything was just weird. No-one was bothering her, everyone gave her money, and things were floaty for a while, like if she was in a dream. She then became famous for her poetry that she works hard on. Everything was going great, too perfect it even had seemed. Natalie's home life was even great too, her mother wasn't yelling at her, and her dad wasn't violent anymore. Life was great.

Natalie saw it, she saw how the path finally formed. It was in front of her, how it always was in front of her, her being so oblivious. It was covered in weeds and completely overgrown, but she saw it. She took one of the potions, the one where it said "Kacb ot lyeirat". Once she took it, there wasn't a path, she was standing, in the middle of the road, cars going through her, not being run over. She jumped back on the sidewalk and waved "Hi" to some kids she knew at school, but it seemed like they didn't even notice her.

Natalie had looked back at the bottle and realized that "Kacb Ot Lyeirat" was "Back To Reality" she had then realized that she was dead, and apart of the spirit world. Natalie didn't know what killed her, maybe it was the fame, or maybe it was the depression that was inside of her.
