Terms about Journalism:

Yellow Journalist: A journalist that writes based upon sensationalism and crude exaggeration.

Muckraker: One who inquires into and publishes scandal and allegations of corrupt among political and business leaders.

Libel: a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

5 W's and H: Who, what, where, why, when, and how.

Hazelwood V. Kuhlmeier Court Case: It was a landmark decision by the Supreme Court of the United States that held that public school curricular student newspapers that have not been established as forums for student expression are subject to a lower level of the First Amendment.

Inverted Pyramid: A metaphor used by journalists to illustrate how info should be structure.

These are the terms that are important to Journalism as a subject and many people should know this as this is some of the history of it.
